If at this late date you still deny the Crisis or propose doing nothing or not enough to fix it, it's not refutable: from an Evolutionary perspective you're the slowest of the herd & a danger to the herd's overall survival. You MUST be left behind. It's your own dumb fault.
The #ClimateCrisis is here. Been here for some time. Kicking our asses. Costing us money. Over & over. It's almost funny (see also horrific) because it seems money is *very* important to you. Maybe *the* most important thing. Here you are literally throwing it into the fire.
The key question of the Age, it turns out, is "how do we leave behind the slowest of the herd when they & only they control how fast the herd is allowed to move, utterly careless that it makes ALL of us easy prey to the most dangerous predator we've ever even heard of?"
You slow people in your ridiculous suits and your greased back hair and your mumbo jumbo about ultimately meaningless, ridiculous non-useful things as the world burns to ashes around you. "I don't know, is it bad enough yet?" your mind guiltily whispers at your 10,000th shrug.
Irrefutable: control over how quickly the herd can move in a time of unprecedented Crisis must not be left to those that'd prefer we move slowly, strictly for their own greedy, reckless ends. If so, their dumb fault becomes our own & costs us everything. It's unacceptable.
CALIFORNIA. ON FIRE AGAIN. IT'S ALMOST LIKE IT'S NEVER *NOT* ON FIRE. THIS IS WHAT CRISIS LOOKS LIKE. MORE FIRE MEANS MORE CO2 MEANS BIGGER CRISIS, GREATER COSTS & MORE PAIN. DOING NOTHING MAKES IT ALL WORSE. UNFIXABLE. NONE OF THIS IS REFUTABLE
Only thing more reckless than the slowest of the herd dictating the pace we address the Crisis is the rest of us allowing it. The intensity of our own suffering & far worse yet the suffering of our children & grandchildren hangs in the balance. At some point the fault is ours.
Renaissance is optimal. Revolution is minimum viable. The status quo must end. Slowest of the herd must no longer dictate our direction & speed. Absolute #ClimateCrisis victory is mandatory. Anything less is an historic shame. This is not refutable. /END
